Living It Up in La Quinta: Day 3

Yesterday was our last day in La Quinta. Boo-hoo! We thought we'd take a ride over to the driving range with Tutu and Sir. They have their own golf cart and I got to ride shot gun with Mama. It was so much fun and I said "weeee" the whole way. On the way back, Tutu took Mama and I for a spin around the neighborhood. We saw Christmas decorations, doggies on walks and lots and lots of flowers.
Here I am with Mama in the cart. Notice the stolen range ball in my hands...
And here I am hamming it up with Dada. Hee, hee!
Tutu explained which club to use when. I was so intrigued.
Then we watched Tutu take a few swings. Nice form, Tutu!
Sir hit a few balls, too. Great shoes, Sir!
Then I lost interest in the driving range and decided to take a walk across the grass with Tutu.
Then Dada spun me around and around. I loved it, as you can see from this video...
After a quick lunch, it was time to head home. This is what I looked like six minutes into our drive home. We didn't even make it to the freeway and I was out like a light.
Thanks, Tutu and Sir, for an awesome and relaxing weekend at your desert house! I'll be back soon...

Living It Up in La Quinta: Day 2

We were finally able to celebrate Dada's birthday on Friday. We went out to dinner at a neat restaurant called Jackalope Ranch. I don't know what a jackalope is but we had a great time.
OK, Mama says this is a jackalope. I kept looking at it trying to figure out what it was. Looks like a bunny to me.
Here's Dada eating his birthday dinner: prime rib! Yummy!
And here I am eating my dinner: mac 'n cheese, of course!
After eating I melloed out with Tutu. I love her so!
Then we walked around and checked out all the cool stuff at the restauarant. There was this big piggie...
...and this awesome waterfall.
So happy birthday, Dada! We love you!

Living It Up in La Quinta: Day 1

Yesterday Dada had to work so Tutu and Sir came to pick Mama and I up and we headed out to La Quinta to stay at their desert house for a mini vacation. Dada drove in after work but I was already asleep when he arrived.
On the way, we stopped at Bob's Big Boy, one of my new favorite places. As we were pulling up I had already spied Bob out front and proceeded to get extremely excited so we had to take a photo.
Here I am chowing down on my lunch: you guessed it, mac 'n cheese!
We got to La Quinta just in time for the annual tree lighting ceremony at La Quinta Resort & Spa. (Note from Mama: This is one of the best spas I've ever been to. They have private outdoor bathtubs with whirlpool jets and an umbrella over the top. Heavenly!) Here I am with Sir before the big event. I can hardly contain my excitement!
And here I am with Tutu and Sir after the switch was thrown. Wow, let's go for a closer look...
Oooo, even more amazing close up! I even touched it and smelled it. It smelled like Christmas to me!
And on the way out, we did some window shopping. I want that one and this one and one of those, too! Oooo, are those dinosaurs...cool!
Tonight we are going out to celebrate Dada's birthday. Stay tuned...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone out there in cyberspace! Check out the awesome hat I made in daycare. Cool, huh?
We had a wonderful day today. We all went to Great-Grammy Mary's house for dinner and to celebrate all that we are thankful for. Mimi and Pop-Pop were there and so were Uncle Jon, Aunt Jenn, Cousin Jack, Jack's Po-Po and Yee-Yee Shari, Tutu, Sir, Auntie Nora, Great-Grandma Betty, and friends Terry and Dele. Whew, it was a full house!
Here I am with Dada. His birthday is tomorrow. He's going to be 35 but don't tell anyone. He is my bestest buddy!
It was a lovely day today so we all sat outside while we waited for dinner to be ready. Here I am with Sir on the porch swing. Wheeee...
Here I am with Tutu. She gave me lots of horsey rides...
Here's Jack with Aunt Nora. I think he likes her cuz he was flirting with her all day. Silly, boy!
Then Jack and I decided to form a band. Jack loved the drums and I favored the maracas...
Then Jack switched to the flute. He really can blow...
Then Uncle Jon joined our group but I think there was some creative spat between Jack and Jon regarding the flute so we had to break up. And I was so looking forward to taking our band on the road. Oh well...
Here's a cute little video of some of our rehearsal...we had such potential!
Then it was time for dinner. Mama bought us boys a really cool hat to wear. Jack didn't like his too much so Aunt Jenn wore it instead...
Here I am in my hat. I'm a pilgrim...
Jack could not WAIT to dig into dinner, He kept saying "big chicken" and even managed to score a whole turkey leg. Lucky...
After dinner, we celebrated Mimi's birthday, which is today! We got her this neat cake. When you blow on it, the candle goes out. None of us could figure out how it worked. Check out this video...you won't believe your eyes!
But all good things have to come to an end. Here we are all clean and ready to go home for the night. One last hug for Mimi to wish her a happy birthday! Wow, what a day...
Hope you all had something to be thankful for. I sure did. I'm thankful for good times, family, friends and of course Yo Gabba Gabba. Well we are off to spend the weekend in La Quinta with Tutu and Sir. It's our first visit of the season! Stay tuned...

Hiccups Are Funny!

Yesterday while I was eating my dinner, I got the hiccups. For some reason I thought they were hilarious...

A Visit from the Dirstines

Since I wasn't able to make the Dirstine family pre-Thanksgiving party yesterday, they brought the party to me today. Hooray! I was most excited to have Aunt Darlene and Aunt Nora for a visit. Aunt Darlene was visiting from Miami where she is going to school. Cool!
Here is a photo of all of us Dirstines: Dada, Aunt Darlene, Aunt Nora, Tutu and Sir, Can you see the family reslembance? OK, so I have Mama's blue eyes and blonde hair but I still fit right in.
Then Aunt Nora let me use her iPhone. I had to call China. I kept saying "hello" and everyone laughed.
Then she showed me how to take photos with her phone. So you point this at Tutu and it takes her picture? Awesome!
I liked Aunt Nora's phone so much that I decided that I would keep it...
Then she traded me it for this cool stuffed gingerbread man that Tutu brought for me. Somehow I forgot all about the phone and sat right down with my new friend in my egg chair. I'm sure Aunt Nora is relieved that toddlers have short attention spans.
So I'm feeling almost full strength now. The visits from my wonderful family over the last few days sure have helped. Thanks, guys!
Have a super week, everyone, and a very happy Thanksgiving. We're going to Great-Grammy Mary's house so I'll be sure to post all about it...

Noah, The Lost Episodes III: Swinging in the Park

Hi! Mama forgot that Dada took this super cute video of me swinging in our park a few weekends ago with his cell phone. So many ways to capture little old me, so little time. Anyway, here I am enjoying a great fall day in the park...Enjoy!

Home Sick

Hi, everyone!
Well, I've been a bit under the weather the last few days but I am starting to feel much better. Unfortunately, we missed a Dirstine family pre-Thanksgiving event today. Awww! I still might be contagious, so Mama and Dada thought I should stay home and rest and not chance getting little cousin Ella sick. Aunt Darlene came to town for the festivities and I was so bummed that I missed her. She might come up to visit me tomorrow, so Mama tells me.
So Mimi and Pop-Pop came up to visit us this afternoon to cheer me up.
Mimi thought that I might share my lovie with her...
Think again, Mimi...

Instead, I learned how to fly with her help. Here is a little video of my first "flying" adventure with my Mimi...

Pop-Pop thought he'd teach me how to catch! He armed himself with lots of props. Yes, those are some of my Gabba friends he has there. I was not too keen on sharing them but they make for good catching things.

Here's a quick video of my first catch. I did pretty good, right? As for the sharing thing, I'm sick but not crazy, people. I am a toddler, after all.
Thanks for the great visit, Mimi and Pop-Pop! Stayed tuned for more new adventures...

Further Adventures in Climbing

This morning I realized that I could view the world from a different vantage point if I scaled my toy chest. Wow, I can see the whole room from up here...neat!
Then I realized that if I climbed higher, I could reach some cool stuff. Wow, there are books up here! Mama says she was saving them. You've been holding out on me, Mama. Oh, well, they are mine now!
Ooo, this one is Winnie the Pooh...love it!
So I sat right down on the toy chest and read it. I'm a rebel, what can I say! After reading this book, I went back up and pulled down more books and more books and more books until Mama stopped me. Curses!
There is nothing that I cannot reach. It's all mine, people!
If I wasn't so cute I think I'd be in more trouble. How could you be mad at a toddler with a face like this? As Winnie the Pooh would say, "Ta-ta for now!"
