Big Easter Celebration

On Sunday afternoon, we all went over to Tutu and Sir's house for a big Easter celebration, including an Egg Hunt for the kiddies. Ella and I were raring to go! I found a lot of eggs at the beginning.
My basket filled up very fast.

Some of the eggs were a bit more challenging to find and I would not stop until I was sure every last egg was found. That's some serious determination, people!

Ella was also a very good egg finder.

She search high and low and even on the bridge.

After the egg hunting, we took some pictures with the family. Here I am with Mimi and Pop-Pop.

And here's Ella with her Mommy and Daddy, my Aunt Marisa and Uncle Mike.

And here are Ella and I with our Tutu and Sir. So cute!

And here I am with Mommy and Daddy. Will you look at all those eggs! Wow!

What a fun and blessed Easter we had with our family! Thanks, Tutu and Sir, for hosting us all. And thanks, Easter Bunny, for all the treats! Let's do this again next week...

The Easter Bunny Came!

On Easter morning, I woke up to find special treats in my basket from none other than the Easter Bunny. Who-hoo!
And as is ourtradition, the Easter Bunny left me a special treat in this ceramic basket: a cute little boy dressed as a bunny and a bunch of cool stickers. Neat!

He even left me a card and signed it, too.

I found all kinds of awesome treats in my basket, like this sweet little bunny. He is super huggable.

And this special Easter Play-Doh in a chickie and bunny who have stampers on their feet.

I also got an egg with a Thomas train inside. I love it and drove it all over the table.

I especially love my Easter Bunny snack plate. It makes snacktime so much more fun!

But the best treat of all were these awesome bunny ears. I look so cool in them!

What great treats I got from the Easter Bunny, huh? Guess I'm ready for the official Egg Hunt at Tutu and Sir's house this afternoon. Stay tuned...

Eggs, Eggs and More Eggs!

On Saturday, we dyed a few eggs for Easter! It was such a nice afternoon that we took the egg dying outside. I was all ready for the fun to begin...let's get this party started!
Daddy helped me put the eggs in the dye. I was very careful this year and took my time. I must be growing up, huh?

I put this one in all by myself. I totally got the hang of it right away.

I had to watch the eggs while they were in the cups. I think it makes them dye faster.

Here I am with one of my first eggs as it came out of the dye. Beautiful!

I had a bit of trouble keeping the eggs in the dye, though. I had to check on them a lot. Nope, this blue one needs to stay in longer. Boy this egg dying takes patience.

OK, wait one second here. No one told me may hands would get dirty during this process. Yikes!

Daddy's hands got dirty, too.

Just a few more eggs to go. I was so proud of this blue one.

Will you look at those eggs! Not bad for a three-year-old.

Here are Mommy's boys with their finished eggs. Very nice!

I thought I'd leave you with a little video of my dying techniques. At least I didn't throw the eggs into the dye this year.

So I guess I'm finally ready for the Easter Bunny to come...oh, boy! Stay tuned for more super Easter adventures...

Big Bunny Fling

On Friday, Mommy and I invited Aunt Marisa and Cousin Ella to join us for the Big Bunny Fling at the L.A. Zoo. It was a bit crowded but we still had a great time. Ella and I loved looking at all the animals together and Aunt Marisa even brought me a pair of cute bunny ears to wear. Sweet!
And especially for Easter, they had bunnies for us to pet. They were so soft.

Ella loved the bunnies, too. The Mommies had to practically drag us away we loved them so much.

They also had special places set up to take pictures in front of. Here I am giving Mommy my very best "cheese."

Mommy attempted to take a cute photo of Ella and me together but it's tough to get toddlers like us to cooperate. Oh, well, nice try, Mommy.

OK, on to more animals. Aunt Marisa was very good at pointing out the animals to us.

We were given a really special treat when we stopped by the koala exhibit. A new baby koala! You can see it clinging to his mommy's back. They were very happily eating leaves together. Wow!

We also got a perfect look at Billy the elephant. He looked right at the crowd and posed for us. Amazing!

Ella loved seeing the elephants. She did not want to leave and got sad when this female elephant went around the corner. We had to tell her that she was going to see her mommy so she could take a nap.

I mean look at this beauty! She was having a ball filling her trunk with water and shooting it into her mouth. Ella and I were mesmerized!

I ended the morning with a ride on the official zoo train. Yippee (I think)!

Later that afternoon, Mommy and I went over to Mimi and Pop-Pop's house. Friday was Mommy and Daddy's 6th anniversary so my wonderful grandparents watched me so my parents could go out for dinner and a movie. It wasn't long before I noticed something hanging on the wall.

Well I'll be...it's Bob, Pop-Pop's big fish. Cool!

Now we can visit Bob anytime we come over. How awesome is that!

So there you have it. A wonderful Friday at the zoo with Aunt Marisa and Cousin Ella (thanks for coming with us, girls) and a fun evening with Mimi and Pop-Pop (thanks so much for watching me). I am one lucky boy, huh?

Loving La Quinta: First Swim of the Season!

We spent the weekend in La Quinta at Tutu and Sir's desert house. It was nice and warm so we brought our swimmies with us and took a dip in the pool. Oh, boy, my first swim of the season! I got super cool swimmies this year. They have Nemo on them. I also got matching sunglasses and flip flops, too. I was all set! I took my time getting into the pool. Daddy was very patient.
A few more steps and I will be all the way in...
Success! Daddy and I had a blast swimming around the pool. I practiced holding my breath under water and kicked and played motor boat. My favorite thing to do is to push Daddy under...
Bye, Daddy! Hee, hee!
So there you have it! I love swimming and we've just begun the fun! Stay cool out there and don't forget to enjoy the pool!

Thanks, Tutu and Sir, for a wonderful mini-vacation. We'll be back soon...

Stop and Smell the Roses

Mommy and I were driving up to our house the other day and we just happened to see that our rose bushes were finally starting to bloom. It must really be spring now! So I had to stop and smell them. They were lovely! Will you look at those buds! We are going to have a lot of roses this year. I am so excited!
Mommy says you have to leave the buds alone so they will grow into big roses. I had to check them out but I was very careful not to hurt them.

I love spring! I hope you have time to stop and smell the roses, too!
