Sticker Silliness

Last night, I decided that Mommy and Daddy needed a bit of a makeover. So I decorated them with, you guessed it, stickers. Here's Daddy showing his appreciation for my creativity. Thanks for your support, Daddy.
Check out the symmetry and precision, will ya. Daddy's arm never looked better.
And I decided Mommy's appendages needed some livening up as well. Maybe I should have used princess stickers instead of car stickers on Mommy's leg. It's up to your personal interpretation, I suppose.
So there you have it. I've brought beauty to the masses! I think I'll draw on the walls next...

Terrible Twos...at 2 3/4?

Yesterday it was HOT! The high in our next of the woods reached about 110 degrees! Yikes, that IS H-O-T! So we could not go outside to play, to say the least. So after a whole day of being trapped indoors and me asking about 50 times if we could go out, Mommy thought she might capture a video of me singing the ABC song. I'm actually getting really good at it! So she snuck up on me with her camera while I was playing with my magnets...
And let's just say things did not go well. Observe...
(Note from Mommy: I tried about six times to get Noah to sing for all of you. I strung all of my attempts together for you to enjoy. I don't know if it was the heat or the fact that we were stuck inside or a combination of both but I'm starting to think that this "Terrible Twos" thing will soon become the "Terrible Threes." Sigh.)
After Mommy bothered me with the camera, I got up on the couch and pouted for about five minutes. Check out my bottom lip, huh? Now that is one serious pout, people!
Finally I had had just about enough of Mommy so I even yelled at her to stop it. I mean, how much abuse does one kid have to take? Better luck next time, Mommy...

By the way, about three minutes later I was hugging and kissing Mommy and reading my new Halloween books with her. I guess I'm easily distracted and redirected. Don't try to figure this whole thing out, Mommy. Us toddlers are a conundrum for sure.

I Heart My Family!

Happy Wednesday! Mommy wanted to share a few more photos that Mimi took at her birthday party on Sunday. Here's a great one of Mommy, Uncle Jon and me. Did you know Uncle Jon is Mommy's brother? I don't know about that.
And here's a great one with Cousin Jack, too. We are all saying "cheese."
And not to leave Cousin Ella out, here's an awesome one Mimi took of her and her Daddy, my Uncle Mike. Adorable!
Thanks, Mimi, for sharing these wonderful photos. I love my family!

A Party for Mommy!

On Sunday, Great-Grammy threw an awesome birthday party for Mommy at her house. She made a special meatloaf dinner complete with carrots, potatoes and peas with mushrooms and sausage. All Mommy's favorites! We invited all the usual suspects to joins us for the celebration: Mimi, Pop-Pop, Uncle Jon, Aunt Jenn, Tutu, Sir, Great-Grandma Betty, Uncle Mike, Aunt Marisa, Cousin Ella and Aunt Nora. Of course Cousin Jack was there, too. Here we are watching some football. It was stimulating! While we were all playing, I discovered Grammy's radio and figured out how to turn it on and off.
All that radio listening got me in the music mood. Here I am playing a recorder. Hey that gives me an idea!
Time for a parade! Here's a little video of our group. Enjoy!
Later, Daddy shared his video game with Jack.
And Ella checked out our Christmas animated friends with Sir's help. I think she liked them.
We had them all going at once. It was quite a scene.
Jack decided to try to give Aunt Nora five with his foot. So silly!
Here's Ella sitting pretty amid the chaos. She fit right in.
Jack and Aunt Jenn even found time to play with some trucks.
And I played horsey with Daddy. Ride 'em cowboy!
Finally, it was time for cake! Mimi made her super special and delicious Texas sheet cake. It is a fabulous chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Yummy! Here's Mommy, Daddy and me blowing out the candles together.
I snuck a quick taste of the frosting but Mommy caught me. Busted! I loved the cake and had two pieces. I love chocolate!
What a great party with all of our family to round out Mommy's birthday week. Happy birthday, again, Mommy! Let's do it again next weekend...
(Note from Mommy: Thanks, everyone, for a wonderful celebration filled with great food and wonderful family memories. I love all of you so very much!)

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Yesterday was Mommy's 37th birthday! (Note from Mommy: sigh) Daddy sent her these beautiful flowers at work.
And Daddy and I got Mommy this awesome artwork frame for her to show off my pictures at work. We also got her two for our house. (Note from Mommy: These frames are so cool! The front opens on a hinge and lets you store up to 50 pieces inside. So I can rotate my favorite drawings, paintings and more by my favorite little artist. Thanks, Jeff and Noah!)
That night we went to Mommy's favorite Mexican restaurant. Tutu, Sir, Aunt Nora, Mimi and Pop-Pop came, too. Little did we know that it was Mexican Independence Day so they had a live Mariachi group and Happy Hour all night long with $4 margaritas. (Note from Mommy: Score!) Here I am checking out the band. Do you guys know "Banana" or "Twinkle, Twinkle"?
I especially loved the big guitar. You guys are awesome! (Note from Mommy: These guys were awesome! What a treat! They even serenaded me with "Volver, Volver" which happens to be Tutu and my favorite Spanish song.)
Of course I had already eaten dinner so I spent my time drawing with my Sponge Bob watercolors. Mimi helped.
Here I am with the birthday girl and Daddy, too. I was getting restless so I went for a walk with Mimi and later Sir.
Then it was time for birthday flan. Mommy got to wear this silly sombrero and the Mariachis came back to sing "Happy Birthday." I was too shy to sing.
Here I am getting ready to help Mommy blow out the candle.
One more shot with the sombrero. Mommy tried to get me to try it on but I said, "No way, Jose!" I also said no to trying flan. It looked funny to me, people. (Note from Mommy: Oh, good, more flan for me!)
Well there you have it. A perfect celebration for my favorite lady. Happy birthday, Mommy! I love you! (Note from Mommy: Thanks, everyone, for the great party, dinner and gifts. And thanks, Jeff and Noah, for being such wonderful guys. Even though you are stinky boys most of the time, I still love you both with all my heart! My greatest gifts are always the two of you.)

Terrific Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Tonight while we were all relaxing at home, I decided to read a bit of one of my favorite books, "Green Eggs and Ham," by none other than Dr. Seuss.
Here's a video of me reading. But I soon realized that Mommy was filming me and stole her camera. The following are my photos from the evening...

I call this one "Toes."

How about "The Ghost of Bunny?" I guess this is what happens when you use a flash too close to your subject.
This is called "A View from the Top." I forgot that you have to hold the camera toward your subject when you shoot.
"Mr. Potato Head and Friends." I think he's a shoe whore but don't tell anyone.
"Monkey Down!" Is that Mommy's hand in there?
I don't know what to call this one. Kind of moody, huh?
After my picture taking, Daddy and I had a super silly time. This is a fairly regular occurrence at our house.
For some reason, I find it hilarious when other people frown. I'm so morbid.
And when people surprise me, too.
How about if I surprise them? Equally funny in my book. Here I am showing Daddy my mad face. Rrrrr!
I am so lucky to have a silly Daddy to be silly with!
So there you have it. A terrific and exciting Tuesday evening. Hope you had a great Tuesday, too!

Labor Day Fun in the Pool

Monday was Labor Day so we went to Tutu and Sir's house to celebrate. It was hot, hot, hot so we snuck in what might be our last swim of the season. Today the high is only 66 degrees. By Southern California standards, that is cold.
Here I am getting ready to swim. Look at those lashes, will ya!
Here I am after jumping right in with Daddy.
Then I floated with Tutu. She's the best pool buddy because we love to be super silly in the water.
Here's our whole swimming gang!
My favorite thing is to jump off the side of the pool into an adult's arms. Here I am getting ready to jump to Tutu...
Yahoo! Good catch, Tutu!
Sir is the best motor boat buddy. We go around really fast!
And he's also the best pool tosser! Am I lucky or what?
Then it was time to come out. Here I am in Mommy's arms. Ahhh, that's the life!
Well as you can see, I had a super swimming Labor Day. Hope you had a good one, too! Thanks, Tutu and Sir, for having us!
