First Trip to La Quinta: A Beautiful Day in the Desert

On Sunday, the last day of our La Quinta mini-vacation, we decided to lay low and rest. But it was such a beautiful day so we ventured outside for a bit and enjoyed the fine weather and great view. What am I doing inside? I mean the view into the atrium in Tutu and Sir's house is cool and all but just look how gorgeous it is outside! Come on, I'll show you around...
This is the view from Tutu and Sir's back porch right onto the Nicklaus Private Course at PGA West. Check out the Coral Mountains in the background. They light those at night and they are spectacular even in the dark.

This is the view looking into Tutu and Sir's house. Tutu has planted all her own flowers and plants and they are simply gorgeous and thriving in the desert climate. Here's a silly picture of me and my Daddy. I was enjoying a snack in this photo.

And here I am with Mommy, too. We were having so much fun.

Then Sir, Daddy and I decided to take a quick golf cart ride around the neighborhood to take in some of the sights. Here we are ready to go on our adventure. Daddy was driving. I wanted to do it but Sir said I had to wait until I could reach the pedals. Darn, being short is for the birds!

Off we go! Just me and the boys.

Later, Tutu and Mommy met us at the driving range (it's just a short walk from their house). That's where you practice hitting golf balls before you get out on the course.

Daddy took a few swings...

And so did Sir.

Tutu and I watched. You do some, too, Tutu.

Excellent! I loved watching everyone practice.

Mommy and I watched in the shade. Isn't this place neat?!

It wasn't too much later that we had to say good-bye to La Quinta. What an awesome first trip of the season, huh? Thanks, Tutu and Sir, for a great desert weekend! I can't wait to go back...
