Loving La Quinta: First Swim of the Season!

We spent the weekend in La Quinta at Tutu and Sir's desert house. It was nice and warm so we brought our swimmies with us and took a dip in the pool. Oh, boy, my first swim of the season! I got super cool swimmies this year. They have Nemo on them. I also got matching sunglasses and flip flops, too. I was all set! I took my time getting into the pool. Daddy was very patient.
A few more steps and I will be all the way in...
Success! Daddy and I had a blast swimming around the pool. I practiced holding my breath under water and kicked and played motor boat. My favorite thing to do is to push Daddy under...
Bye, Daddy! Hee, hee!
So there you have it! I love swimming and we've just begun the fun! Stay cool out there and don't forget to enjoy the pool!

Thanks, Tutu and Sir, for a wonderful mini-vacation. We'll be back soon...

Stop and Smell the Roses

Mommy and I were driving up to our house the other day and we just happened to see that our rose bushes were finally starting to bloom. It must really be spring now! So I had to stop and smell them. They were lovely! Will you look at those buds! We are going to have a lot of roses this year. I am so excited!
Mommy says you have to leave the buds alone so they will grow into big roses. I had to check them out but I was very careful not to hurt them.

I love spring! I hope you have time to stop and smell the roses, too!

The Big Bounce House

Last Sunday, in another attempt to tire me out yet again, Daddy took me to Sky City, an awesome bounce playground right here in our town. We had heard of this place many times but never went. We decided to finally check it out and boy am I glad we did. It was a blast!
They have a room just for little guys like me with tons of bouncers and slides and cool stuff to play on...all inflatables! Here I am getting my bounce on. I was in heaven.
As you can see, the boys had so much fun just being boys.

I thought I'd leave you with a little video of me riding the big slide. I was a bit apprehensive at first but after a few slides with Daddy, I went all by myself and even climbed up the stairs without help. Woo-hoo!

Thanks, Daddy, for taking me to this great place! Let's go again really soon! By the way, I slept for hours that afternoon. So the adults can add yet another activity to their list of places to tire out their preschooler. Plus this place is air conditioned. Bonus!

It's a Merry-Go-Round World

Lately, Mommy and Daddy have been working super hard on the weekends to tire me out so that I will take a good, long nap. See, if I don't do anything particularly active, then I won't take a nap and by 3:30 p.m. I am a big grumpy preschooler. Not a pretty picture.

On lovely sunny days, this tire-out-Noah process is easy: we go to the park or run around in the backyard. But what to do on cold/rainy days? That can be a challenge. On Saturday, it was a bit chilly and windy so not exactly an outside day. So we headed to the mall where they have an awesome carousel. I rode it about four times and got really good and tired. And I took a three-hour nap. And the best part is the adults a free. Here's Daddy taking his turn with me. I loved riding this bear and couldn't wait for the ride to start.

Here's Mommy's best attempt at taking a picture of us in motion. Not an easy feat. Here I am waving to my adoring fans. Hi, my people!

Since the photos were not happening, Mommy settled on a video to capture the moment. Enjoy!

So there you have it. Operation tire-out-Noah was a success. Wait until you see what Daddy and I did on Sunday...stay tuned!

Pet Rocks Rock

On Saturday, Jack was felling much better from his bought with the stomach flu so we all got together at Mimi and Pop-Pop's house for dinner. Great-Grammy thought we needed a project so she found us some perfect pet rocks in the garden and we set to making them pretty. Aunt Jenn supervised and made sure we used proper marker etiquette. Jack was very good at the coloring part. Very nice technique, Buddy!
And I wasn't too bad either. I liked the red the best.
Here are Jack's finished pets...
And here are mine. Next time we see Great-Grammy, she promised us that she would have eyes, ears, nose and mouth stickers for us to finish our rock friends. Cool!
After our art project, we went inside to play like the monkeys we are. Mommy loves this photo of Jack. He looks so calm and collected.
After our bathes, Jack and I took a few more pictures before saying good-bye.
Gotta get in some cousin love, right?
Wait, where did we go? And where did these blankets come from?
Wait, I think those are feet!
Boy, am I glad I have my cousin to be silly with.

Thanks for having us, Mimi and Pop-Pop, and thanks for helping us make pet rocks, Grammy!

Spring Has Sprung!

It is officially spring here in Southern California! Hurray! Last Wednesday it was so nice in the evening that Mommy and I headed outside in our backyard to play. Can you tell I am excited about the warm weather? I had to go around the yard to say hello to all my garden friends. Hi, toadstools!
Hi, birdbath! I thought if I got really close that the birdies would come. Not so much.
Look, there's my froggie.
And I just had to give a few pats to my owl friend.
Oooo, rocks! I forgot these were here. Awesome!
Here I am lining all my rocks up. How long do you think it would take me to bring all of those rocks up here on the table? At least an hour, I think.
Then I had to throw my big green ball for a bit.
Finally, Mommy brought out some of my bubbles from last year. Unfortunately, one of the push kind was broken and the other one was all dried up. But that didn't stop us! I know this stick is kind of short but it still worked. Note to self, get new bubbles next time you are at the store.

Here's a little video of my bubble blowing adventure. In case you're wondering, I'm pretty sure no one has perished from ingesting bubble solution so I think I'm safe. Gotta work on my blowing skills, I think.

Oh, boy, I love the spring! Hope your days are sunny and happy, too! Mine sure are.

Fun at Great-Grammy's House

Sorry we haven't posted in a while. We've had pretty quiet weekends lately so there hasn't been much to blog about. But I thought I'd give you a small taste of what I've been up to. Last, last Sunday, Great-Grammy made us a wonderful meatloaf dinner. Cousin Jack was sick with the flu so it was just me, Mommy, Daddy, Mimi and our friend, Terry. Grammy got Jack and I a cool stocking caps so I had fun modeling it. I think the price tag sticking out makes it even more awesome. I mean come on, this hat is the best, right? Hey, I think I look a bit like my Christmas rapping mouse friend. We could be a duo. Can anyone say Slim Shady?
Then Daddy and I decided to form our own band (OK, so it was more of a group, really). I think we are ready for the big time.

Here's a little video of our performance. I know, don't quit your day job, kid.

Thanks, Grammy, for dinner. It was delicious and I had a blast just being three!
