Maui-Woowee: Day 1 (August 7)

Aloha! We are in Maui! Let me tell you, we are having so much fun!
Here's how our trip began...
On Friday afternoon, we boarded a plane for Maui. I ran around the terminal for about an hour so I was good and tired for the plane ride. I sat quietly in my car seat the whole time and even snoozed during take off. Then I colored, played with stickers and watched about eight episodes of "Yo Gabba Gabba." When it was time to land, I feel asleep and stayed asleep until the next morning. I even slept through being transferred in and out of my car seat and walking through a busy hotel lobby. I was really zonked.
That first night, we stayed in a really big room at the Westin Maui Resort in Ka'anapali. Above is the view from one of our windows.
And here's the view from the other...
Because I had slept sooooo much the night before, I was up at 3:15 a.m. Well it was 6:15 Los Angeles time. We had to wait until 6:30 for breakfast but it was worth it. Mimi, Mommy, Daddy and I had a super buffet breakfast complete with complimentary smoothies in little shot glasses. Here we are toasting our first day in Maui.
I also ate a record number of bananas in one sitting: three! I was starving!
Because we were up so early, we even had to wait for the pool to open. So I checked out this cool frog statue while we waited. Ribbit!
Then Daddy and I went on our first swim in Maui. Yahoo!
Here I am leading the way around the pool. Let's check out that waterfall, Daddy!
After my swim, I was tired. So we went up for a nap at around 9:00 a.m.
That afternoon, we joined the rest of our family at the Westin Ka'anapali Villas. We did some more swimming with Jack and Ella and had a BBQ poolside that evening.
What an awesome first day! Stay tuned for more...
