Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July, everyone! As you can see, I dressed in my most festive patriotic attire for the occasion. I am an all American boy for sure! I even made a cool pinwheel at preschool. Here I am showing it off. I was very proud of it, as you can see.
Neat, it even spins when I blow it!

We had a pretty relaxed 4th this year. We spent the afternoon at Mimi and Pop-Pop's with some good friends and yummy food. Jack and I played and played and we headed home early to avoid the fireworks traffic. Since it was a school and work night for all of us, we decided to skip the fireworks for one more year. I'm usually asleep by 9 so I would have been quite a grumpy boy if
I had stayed awake for a show.

Only problem is that the crazy people in our neighborhood started shooting off fireworks at 8:30 and continued to do so until after midnight. I was a bit disturbed by the noise (I kept asking Mommy, "what is that sound?") so Daddy took me out in the backyard in my jammies to show me what all the racket was all about. There were fireworks going up in all directions. It was amazing! So after a few minutes outside, I felt much better and finally went to sleep. Whew!

Hope your 4th was filled with lots of fun, too! I am so proud to be an American!

Too bad you were kept awake with fireworks but you looked quite fabulous!

That was smart of Daddy to show you the actual bombs bursting in air so you could get some rest! Next year you'll be able to reassure your sister about all the noise!
