Last night, I decided to spend some of my birthday money on something I have been wanting for a few months: a cute, cute fishy. So Mommy, Daddy and I went to our local PetSmart to check things out.
There were A LOT of fish. It was a bit overwhelming for a three-year-old like me.

Here's a little video of me shopping for the perfect first pet. I didn't know what to choose...
There were lots of other animals at the pet store and I was easily distracted by the likes of birds, snakes, turtles and frogs. But I was there to get a fishy so I quickly got back on track. After much discussion with the saleslady, we decided to keep it simple with my first pet and settled on a beta. We picked a nice blue one and I was off to give it a new home.
Here's a close up of my new friend, who I named Sharky. I thought maybe I could get a big, big fish like Pop-Pop, but I think little, little Sharky and I were meant for each other.

Hooray for your first pet, Noah! I think you picked a good one! Hope he makes you happy for a long time.
OH my gosh, your first pet! Noah, I am so excited for you. Do you think Sharkey will like Tutu and me? Will he want us as his grandmas, too? Hope so!
Enjoy all the fun of watching and loving Sharkey!
Love you!
Mimi
Oh, Noah, how exciting! Betas are great fish. Aunt Nora has one she calls Arnold! Keep Pop Pop away with his fishing rod, but I think sharky is too small for the likes of Pop Pop. Now Mimi and I have a "grand fishy". Boy are we silly or what?? Tutu
I think Sharky is very handsome and it will be fun for you to check on him a lot during the day! What an excellent choice for your birthday dollars! Congrats to the fish grammas!
