Family and friends: The following post has photos of me making Christmas presents so if you still want to be surprised, please stop reading. You have been warned!
So, Mommy and I decided that I was old enough this year to attempt to make some handmade Christmas presents. You all know how much I love to color and paint so we thought, "let's give it a shot."
A few weeks ago, Mommy made salt dough ornaments with cookie cutters and baked them in the oven until they were completely dried out. Then on Saturday morning, I donned a makeshift smock and painted them.
I did really well and picked out all my own colors. I hardly even made a mess at all, actually. I painted about ten and then announced that I was done. Not bad for my first handmade present experience, huh?
Here's a look at all my ornaments. They are not quite done but it rained all weekend so Mommy decided to let them dry for a few days until we finish them off.
So I can now cross "make my own ornaments" off my list of milestones. Didn't know that was on the official list, did ya?
Christmas is less than a week away! Keep being "nice" everyone! Santa is still watching...

Just beautiful! I think anyone who gets one will be over the moon, Noah!
Yay for Mommy... being brave with the paint! And Noah, you did a FABULOUS job!!
I honestly did not look at the photos. I saw the spoiler alert and did not want to spoil this for me and Pop Pop! So - thanks for telling us, Noah. Can 't wait to see you on Christmas eve!
Love you,
Mimi
